Program overview

Tourism is a growth industry and is able to provide significant economic contribution to the society. UNWTO forecasts 

1.6 billion international arrivals by 2020 with the receipts of 2 trillion USD. To cater this big trend, GIME offers the 

bachelor of science degree in tourism management. The aim of this programme is to enhance the theoretical and 

practical abilities of the students, enabling them to work professionally in the tourism and hospitality industry. 

In this programme, students will not only take the courses in the tourism and management areas, but they can also 

have a strong industry experience. GIME has established a very tight connection with many local and international 

companies in the tourism and hospitality industry. It is expected that the successful graduates from this programme 

will have a strong global perspective and will become the future leaders and professionals in the tourism world. 

Internship Opportunities

GIME arranges full-time paid internship opportunities for our senior students in this program. The companies combine 

both local organizations and multinational corporations. Students can participate in and experience organizational culture 

within Chinese business environment. For our Tourism Management program specifically, students who study in the program 

have an opportunity to complete their internships in world famous hotel & resort corporations in Dalian, including Kempinski 

Hotel, Grand Hyatt Hotel, Hilton Hotel and Castle Hotel attached to Marriott Group.

Academic entry requirement

Successful completion of high school with good grades and full transcripts

English language entry requirement

IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.0 in all subskills) or equivalent

Applicants with IELTS 5.0 or below can enroll on Foundation courses prior to commencing their studies.

Tuition and program fee

35,000 RMB (5,400 USD approx.) for one academic year
